Installation

Download, install, and update tpaw on macOS. Requires Apple Silicon Macs.

tpaw ships as a standard macOS application bundle — download the .dmg, drag to Applications, and launch. No package manager or runtime dependencies required.

Download

Get the latest release from the tpaw releases page. The download is a native Apple Silicon binary optimized for M-series chips.

Install

  1. Open the downloaded .dmg file
  2. Drag the tpaw icon to the Applications folder shortcut in the same window
  3. Eject the disk image
  4. Open tpaw from /Applications or Spotlight (Cmd+Space)

First-launch security prompt

macOS Gatekeeper may display: "tpaw cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer."

To bypass this:

  • Right-click the tpaw icon → Open → click Open in the dialog

Or go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway next to the tpaw entry.

Verify the installation

On first launch, tpaw shows the onboarding screen with a connection form. If you see this screen, the installation succeeded.

Updating tpaw

tpaw does not yet include auto-update. To update:

  1. Download the new .dmg from the releases page
  2. Quit the running tpaw instance
  3. Replace the app in /Applications by dragging the new version over the existing one
  4. Relaunch tpaw — your connections and settings are preserved

Uninstalling

Drag tpaw from /Applications to the Trash. Connection credentials stored in the macOS Keychain can be removed via the Keychain Access app — search for "tpaw".
