Installation
Download, install, and update tpaw on macOS. Requires Apple Silicon Macs.
tpaw ships as a standard macOS application bundle — download the .dmg, drag to Applications, and launch. No package manager or runtime dependencies required.
Download
Get the latest release from the tpaw releases page. The download is a native Apple Silicon binary optimized for M-series chips.
Install
- Open the downloaded
.dmgfile - Drag the tpaw icon to the Applications folder shortcut in the same window
- Eject the disk image
- Open tpaw from
/Applicationsor Spotlight (Cmd+Space)
First-launch security prompt
macOS Gatekeeper may display: "tpaw cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer."
To bypass this:
- Right-click the tpaw icon → Open → click Open in the dialog
Or go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway next to the tpaw entry.
Verify the installation
On first launch, tpaw shows the onboarding screen with a connection form. If you see this screen, the installation succeeded.
Updating tpaw
tpaw does not yet include auto-update. To update:
- Download the new
.dmgfrom the releases page - Quit the running tpaw instance
- Replace the app in
/Applicationsby dragging the new version over the existing one - Relaunch tpaw — your connections and settings are preserved
Uninstalling
Drag tpaw from /Applications to the Trash. Connection credentials stored in the macOS Keychain can be removed via the Keychain Access app — search for "tpaw".
